ill American Band participants Iohn Hasler, David Klein, Sue Hopkins, pd Tom Thompson were selected from students all over the nation 'ecause oftheir exceptional playing ability. Band members attain honors R. . .H . . . S . . .Nevada's band from east to west. That was the motto of the Varsity Band and its components. Their main goal was to support their school with as much talent, hard work, and spirit as was possible. The creation of the Pep Band with their bright yellow and green shirts was a spirit booster at assemblies, sports events and many other activities. The marching band entertained at halftime shows, parades, and participated in the Clark County Halftime Review. The concert band performed in many concerts and in the Music Festival where they were judged on play- ing ability, interpretation and their ability to sightread music. Several band members were accepted into the county, state, andfor All American honor bands.
