R.O.T.C. gains Honor Unit ., - i ., . . nn The Nevada 31st Reserve Officer Training Corps has obtained the Honor Unit Citation for the past two years. Only the top six percent of 5 schools who have R.O.T.C. received this high L award. The award is determined by the annual inspection by Maxwell A.F.B. which is the cen- ter of activity for all R.O.T.C. Units. For the year of 1977 R.O.T.C. took two field trips. One was its annual trip to Nellis A.F.B. to view the new additions of the 474 Tactical Fighter Wing. The other was to Edwards A.F.B. in the Spring where they learned many differ- ent aspects about the Air Force Flight Test Cen- ter. The Color Guard, Drum and Bugle Corps, Rifle Team, and the Drill Proficiency Team are a few specialized groups that The R.O.T.C. Unit 3 supplies to cadets.
