They participated in the 1976 Home- coming game with the Ram Band. With many hours of practice, they do routines to several different musical numbers. The squad, consist- ing of nine girls and two managers, was in the Zone Assembly as part of the presentation of colors. Interact Officers are: President - Chris Desilets, Vice-President - Denise Wright, Trea- surer - Emil Stein, and Secretary - Kerry Crawford. Bowl-a-Thou successful ' A stealy black ball spun down the alley and through a blockade of heavy pins as weary eyed students.raked in points for their game. A record breaking one hundred and sixteen stu- dents madly fought sleep from 12:30 to 6:00 in the morning for the annual Interact Club, made up of all ages of students from Rancho, is a service club. This organization forms fund rais- ing events in the school to raise money to buy needed items for people outside the school. The main project of the year was the Bowl-a-Thon. This years Bowl-a-Thon brought an unbelieva- ble turnout, the largest in four years and it also made a record for the funds. A talked about service project of the club was to buy equip- ment for the Senior Citizens' Home to entertain them. Vice-President, Denise Wright, stated that, Although getting the club organized proved to be difficult at first, with Mr. Phil Cook's help - the advisor - once the ball was running we accomplished several major projects for the school and community. Each member is required to bring in difficult questions on Mon- day for practice material. The team consisting of 15 members, practices on speed and recall. The game is filmed on Thursday and is shown on Sunday. The questions the students are asked are based on history and current events. The advisor of Varsity Quiz is Paula Ander- son, who is also a U.S. History teacher. Varsity Quiz 75
