, Z Af... One of the special guests at the Black History Assembly was Maceo Anderson, he preformed by tap dancing. Bla ks sho jazz, blues A large amount of music and a large amount of talents were combined to prepare the per- formances forthe Black History Assembly. To begin the assembly, Dorothy Strong sang the Black National Anthem. Following this, a slide presentation depicted people and events in Black History. Acting as emcee, Tony Bush introduced the three major elements to be presented at the assembly. Those elements were expressed in music-spirituals, blues and jazz. They were evacted by the use of songs and dramatizations. One musical interpretation was performed by Samone Davis. A dramatization Queen of the Blues was given by Lolita Iohnson. With the help of the Bill Christensen Orches- tra, Terry Criner, Ivory Wheeler, and Maceo Anderson tap danced. Lolita Iohnson, dramatization interpretation of Queen of the Blues.
