Principal's Secretary Secretaries aid school All nine of our school secretaries found the time to work at their jobs helping the students and helping in extra activities in the school. Working in each department at school, they assisted deans, assistant principals, and counse- lors. But they always found time to help with our student government and also in the student union. In every department and activity, they typed, filed records, and helped the school run more efficiently. One of the new secretaries was Gaynell Lar- sen. She worked in the Student Activities office in the student union. And helped to make the student activities director's job easier. Secretaries 227

Some of these jobs were performed by cafeteria workers, monitors, custodians, teachers' aides, and duplicating clerks. Students, in an open-campus situation, were able to eat off campus. But some preferred to eat here at school in the cafeteria. Meals were provided each day in two lunch periods. A vari- ety of foods were offered.
