Counselors get involved The counselors at our school this year really got actively involved with the class of '77. Mrs. Warner, the head of the scholarship depart- ment, wrote to businesses and interested people every day to see if they would support our Sen- iors with scholarships. Each of the counselors was always willing to help the students. They were also able to find some jobs for a few students. The counselors were divided into eight cate- gories. Mr. Cooper was in charge of the fresh- man class while the rest of the student body was divided alphabetically between the remaining seven counselors. A new member was added to the counselors this year. He was Bob Peck, a former Rancho teacher who had been coaching at Chaparral High School. In charge of the counselors this year was Randall Roberts.

Principal's Secretary Secretaries aid school All nine of our school secretaries found the time to work at their jobs helping the students and helping in extra activities in the school. Working in each department at school, they assisted deans, assistant principals, and counse- lors. But they always found time to help with our student government and also in the student union. In every department and activity, they typed, filed records, and helped the school run more efficiently. One of the new secretaries was Gaynell Lar- sen. She worked in the Student Activities office in the student union. And helped to make the student activities director's job easier. Secretaries 227
