Science has ne ideas The Science program at Rancho High offers Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Horticulture, Physics, Zoology, Earth Science, General Sci- ence, and Life Science. These programs give knowledge and guidance. Our Science Department, this year, had a new chairman, Terry Preator. Along with a new chairman, the department added four new teachers. These were Vern Densley, Paul Glauner, Don Sims, and Dolores Ordonez-Det- weiler. This made a total of fifteen teachers in our Science Department. Rancho's Academy of Biological Sciences is our science program. basketball players show skill for yearbook photographer. ......-fr busily on Health assignment, sophomore student IS heavily Team sports are stressed Physical Education classes consisted mainly of team sports this year. Basketball, soccer, field hockey, softball, volleyball, track and field. Individual sports were also stressedg they included tennis, golf, archery and fencing. This year two members were added. They were Carl Barbeau and Tom Coleman. Mr. Bar- beau is a new Health teacher who attended Weaver State and U.L.N.V. He graduated with a B.A. in Health and P.E. Mr. Coleman has elementary and secondary degrees in Health and P.E. He teaches those subjects here at Rancho this year. P.E. and Health 219
