Business is essential The Business Department is the largest in our state of Nevada, according to Mr. Wayne Adams, chairman of the department. What made it the largest was the variety of classes offered. There were over twenty classes in the department. Some of the classes were: Key Punch, Typing, and Shorthand. Machine Transcription was a dictaphone class in which the students were able to proceed through the typing lessons at their own speed. The Business Department also received new equipment this year. Equipment received was calculators, typewriters and adjustable tables to fit students of different heights. Adjusting to students' needs, the department offered Record Keeping, Accounting, Filing and Business Survey. The above were offered in a department consisting of twelve teachers in which the newest member was Lois Nicholson. For those who are interested in furthering their training after high school, they should take Accounting, Data Process and Word Proc- ess, said Mr. Adams.
