Theiinexperi- enced may find this article handy as dating is like the game of football. The male sex always seems to be on the offense while the females seem to be the defense. The action of tackling is a very for- ward or abrupt motion and does win the admi- ration of the tacklee. An offside penalty usually results in going back to the beginning and start- ing all over again. Therefisffusually a considerable amount of scoring taking place in the offense. The forward pass is a formidable play and is often com- pleted but under certain circumstances it is incompleted and the passer must look for another receiver downfield. An interception is the unfortunate case where the wrong person receives the pass and therefore gets the passer for quarterbackj very discouraged. A touch- down or score is the reward of thedefense and being able to take advantage of its therlilweak- ness. A score is the result of hard .work and is the beginning of a good relationship. A In some cases the offense and defense canlt get along. The game can sometimes end in a scoreless tie, the result of a stubborn defense and a poorly planned offense, poorly run offense. Tackling may again result. The offense may also furnbleeand the defense wastes no time in pouncingy-ions the mistake. In some cases the game inan all-out brawl. Dating has its ups and downs, but it is alto- gether a popular sport among the sexes. As time progresses teams are drawing more partici- pants: therefore, more people are becoming interested. In fact, dating may well be on its way to becoming the number one sport of the future! T s
