JEANNE FULTON Sophomore joyablef' Provides the necessary humor to make life en- Okay, hit it! Four graceful girls in short green outfits lead the spectators through a yell. After the final 'gRancho, Rancho, Go-oo Rancholi' the band begins to play and the cheerleaders begin hand motions. Bang, bang- you're deadli' The cheerleaders must do much more than stand before a crowd and go through their motions. They spend many hours practic- ing, hold conferences, and make arrangements for the many activities in which cheerleaders are expected to participate. New routines, yells, and chants must be presented to the student body at a Pep Assemblyg new uniforms have to be financed and madeg good grades must be maintained. The cheerleaders with their enthusiasm- and ability promote better sportsmanship and create more spirit among the students.
