The majorettes presented halftime entertainment at the basketball games, sometimes doing routines with the Major- ettes of Las Vegas High School. A willingness to work, natural ability and charm are quaIities each maj orette has. Leading the band through difficult maneuvers is no easy taskg and the three drum majors did very well. N g,i:filw, lS:ni'l wwux ,liar H1 HLEHHQ, Recognized as one of the area's finest, Rancho's Pep Band did a great deal toward creating spirit and enthusiasm within the school. The Bighorns play at pep as- semblies, pep rallies, and basketball games. The Ram Marching Band played at the football games and presented intricate marching maneuvers as half-time entertainment. Practice and preparation went into each performance. The band also marched in two Helldorado parades, the Basic Industrial Days parade, the Pre-Helldorado parade, and the Armistice Day Parade. The cheerleaders found they had an excellent team to encourage and went into cheerleading with en- thusiasm. They looked forward to each game and worked out songs, routines, and cheers. The girls worked hard and enjoyed their year. They greatly anticipated trying out for Varsity Cheerleaders.
