Realization that association makes a better, more enjoyable school life, prompts a student to join the band, a chorus or committee, and try to excel The student, together with others, plans assemblies and dances. The activity calendar in the office is filled with dates for the many different productions. Preferred dates are spoken for early in the fall, and occasionally there is a slip-up and last-minute arrangements must be made. Getting the Little Theatre in advance to decorate takes ingenuity and the gym is used so often that practices for assemblies are difficult to arrange. The student meets these and all other problems with developing self-reliance. The student gives greatly of himself and of his time and is satisfied thinking that perhaps he has gained or given something better than before. l38 7

Oklahoma,', by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, was the production of the year. It was well done and equally well received by those attending the performances. A guest appearance was made at the Senior Assembly by the choir who sang a special arrangement of the Alma Mater. The Christmas Assembly presented by the choir was the first occasion for which the white robes were worn.
