Honor Guard, Banner Girls, and Majorettes . . join the Marching Band and Drill Team during Rancho's halftime entertainment. With batons, rifles, and flags the girls added color and excitement to our home games. In co-ordination with the other performing groups the girls perform compli- cated routines and formations. This year's Homecoming was highlighted by a spec- tacular display that included the traditional flaming batons. The Drill Team . . Is a group of thirty-three girls who represent Rancho at various halftime shows and parades, including the annual Strawberry Festival Parade. Through contributions from the Booster Club, the P.T.A. , and the Associated Student Body, the Drill Team was able to purchase new uniforms. The new uni- forms did much to improve appearance and moral in the team. The captains are responsible for working with the advisor to design and teach new routines to the other members.
