This Yeclr's Dance Group was really on its toes. In the first semester they got in shape, with plenty of exercise and technique les- sons. A group of girls was selected to dance at the co-ed fashion show in February. These girls were lan Allen, Holly Bender, Denise Delduca, Lisa Silk, and Theresa Strite. The last semester of the year the group was get- ting ready for their show in April. The dance group believes the focus should 33 be on the dance, not on the individual dancer. The theme of the. show this year was Shapes and Shadows. The Advisor, Mrs. Steele, and the girls chose three dancers from the group to choreograph the dances. Carol Burge was chosen to choreograph the ballet: Theresa Strite, the abstractg and Vicki Trujillo, the jazz. Melinda Rios did a solo, and Mrs. Steele worked on a group dance in which all of the girls participated. This year they not only had girls but three young men in their dance group: Steve Besaw, Steve Ber- mudez, and Tom Randle. With the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Steele, the dance group had an excel- lent year.
