The Newes Addition. . . to Rancho's fine athletic program this year was soccer. Our Soccer team got off to a late start for their first season as a CIF team, they did not play in an estab- lished league but played as an independent team. Play- ing as an independent they faced many fine teams in the area, including Santa Ana Valley, Western, and Pacifica, the latter two of which Rancho Alamitos sur- prised excellent offensive and defensive play. Under the superb coaching of Bruce Turner, the Vaquero's soccer team did fantastic!
