Freshman Football Team I had a very successful season. A league record of 3-2-1 gave the Vaqueros a third place K A Qk A in the Garden Grove League Standings. The football members improved immensely as the season progressed and ended up the season with the trouncing of La Quinta 48 to y 24 The stalwart defense throughout the year was anchored by Allyn Gatlin, Barry Faulkner, Ruben Aguilera , Pat Dowling, Randy Harris, Steve Kottke, Mike Ralph, Tim Moore, Eugene Geib, Mike Brooks, and Rick Casas. An explosive offense, which proved they could pull off the big play, was manned by Mike Brooks fmost valuableh, Rick Casas 41000703 , Mike Ralph fteam captainb, John Hedrick fmost inspirationalb, Steve Kottke Ccoaches awardj, Barry Faulkner, John Mahoney, Ruben Aguilera, and John Saich. Most improved player went to John Nishimoto.
