The work of the Board is not limited merely to handing out penalties. It acts as a fact-gathering group, hear- ing complaints, considering problems, and Trying to help students get straightened out through sensible consid- eration and discussion, even though it has the a-uthority to give demerits. Ron Guyer does his best to answer all the questions asked at the Commissioners' meeting. This year's members have led an active Board. They have a staff of over 150 commissioners and called staff meetings at least once a month.
