The cast presents a gift to their director and the curtain goes down for the last time. gags if you The Junior Class play represented another success for Rancho. A total of 900 attended the three performances for a profit of 35325. Everyone sighed with relief and then broke into pande- monium at the final curtain. Rushing downstairs to change, the cast indulged in a cold cream throwing contest. A party was held in the choral room of G.G. H.S. ln the middle ofthe party, a J-Man came to tell the cast that they couldn't leave until the fog lifted - which was about three o'clock in the morning. Tragedy nearly struck Tony Bykerk and Sheila Neathery, who were standing by the dinner table when from above came a shout, Look out below! A 20-lb. weight came crashing down, glancing off Tony's hand and barely missing Sheila. Its downward thrust was concluded after going through a chair. f i fi Look, Mr. DePinna, I don't think these are going off right. ' 'Ah, yes Kolenkhov, our time is coming. The Grand Duchess and Kolenkhov reminisce about the good old days in Russia.

Donna McCuIIom keeps busy at Farmers and Merchants Bank as President. Students from Rancho filled important po- sitions in the town of Garden Grove on Youth Day, the annual event sponsored by the Daily News. Garden Grove High School District Superin- tendent was Al Ericson, City Council representa- tives were Ron Guyer and Mike Howard, and the City Administrator was Mike Devereaux. The combined staffs of the annual and Journalism classes went to the Daily News, as their assignment. The entire -process of how a newspaper is put together was explained to them and they performed many of the editorial fobs.
