mi lll Rancho Alamitos made a valiant showing against last year's CIF champs, when They were eliminated from The playoffs by losing for The second time of the season to The powerhouse eleven by one Touchdown, This Time 27-20. The game was full of action but losing The ball to Claremont seven Times on fumbles was The clincher. The big gun for Claremont was its full-back, Bill Colby, who countered twice. A 55-yard run by Van Dyke and a 19-yard pass by Flanagan To Garcia, set up BaTtreal's Tally from The four. Flana- gan ran a brilliant 71-yard score and Van Dyke bulged through The line and went 78 yards for other Vaq Tallies.
