EXCHANGE STUDENTS Front: Jill Elliott, Marshall Turner, Sigrid Schwarzer, Back: Nancy Kakuda, Rosanne Mystrom, Leslie Ralim The Foreign Exchange Student program of America Field Service helps to promote understanding between nations. Rancho is actively participating in this program. Sigrid Schwarzer has been on campus this year as our first foreign student, She is from a little town near Hamburg, Germany. Jill Elliott spent last summer in Germany as a representative American student living with a Ger- man family. Marshall Turner has been chosen trom Rancho's student body to participate in the American Field service program next summer in some yet-to-be-named country. Finalists, along with Marshall, were Nancy Kakuda, Rosanne Mystrom, and Leslie Rahm.

Rosanne Mystrom was inducted during the second semester to serve as Girls' League president for the rest ot this year and also the first semester next year, Rosanne is ac- tive in many phases of campus life. Girlsl Le ue Popular Jill Elliott was a very busy girl this year. She served as Girls' League presi- dent during the first semester. She had the honor of being our first Foreign Exchange student. Most of her spare time in school was taken up by being a member of the Drama Club, G.A.A,, Golden Spur, Art Club, Future Teachers, and she also was a com- missioner.
