, is -'Q HISTORY OF THE CLASS GF When Chnstmas was just around the corner the class held the annual Chrlst mas card sale whlch proved very successful Immedlately after Chrrstmas vaca tlon plans and rehearsals for the jumor Play you Can t KISS Carolme were started The play starred Donme Kresker Lorna Byers and many others who contrlbuted so much to the play s success Shortly after the arrlval of class rmgs we started decoratlng for the junlor Prom Apple Blossom Tune Our efforts were certamly not rn vam because the gymnas1um looked simply lovely after the decorating was completed Entermg our senlor year lf was hard to believe that fmally we had top prlorlty of all the classes The football team proudly brought back three vxctory trophres for us that year after defeatlng Hawthorne Mahwah and Ramapo All the other sports also de serve a lot of recognltnon as they worked hard to make us proud that we were part of Ramsey Cne week before Thanksglvlng the class presented rts Senior Play JI Conner: t1cut'Vankee7n7C1nq Arthur s Court Tom Zaratknewrcz Bob Thompson and Nan We elected the followlng persons as class offrcers thrs year George Blasrus Presldent jlm Van Benschoten Vlce President Connle Mlna Treasurer and Judy Hart Secretary The Semor Prom whrch we called Symphony an 'Wbzte was held at the Swlss Chalet 1n Ramsey Everyone had a grand trme dancing to the muslc of Gene Zell The prom was a perfect endrng to the flrst half of our semor vear Everyone agreed that the year was passlng by much too qunckly Before we reallzed lf flnals were over and preparatlons for class nlght and raduatlon had begun It was w1th heavy hearts that we accepted our dlplomas and thou hr back on four never to be forgotten years at Ramsey Although we had crossed many brldges ln our llves up trll then we knew that we must cross many more The brldge to the future was wamng for us lf was now up to us to complete rt to the best of our ablhty . . A FOUR YEAR SPAN Wuth a feelung of prude muxed wuth bewulderment and excutement our class entered school as freshmen un September 1956 None of us could umagune how ut would ever be possuble to go from the furst floor to the thurd floor un three mun utes nevertheless ut dudnt take us too long to fund the solutuon to thus problem We must admut that there were occasuons when we got confused as to whuch staurs were up and whuch were down but thus problem too was easuly worked out Our freshman year was the tume for unauguratuon unto all the school customs We attended our furst football game and found ut hard to control all the excute ment and antucupatuon that mounted up unsude of us as we cheered our hearts out for dear old Ramsey Hugh However as lufe goes by we must learn to shoulder the happy tumes wuth the unpleasant ones It us therefore wuth a deep sadness that we recall the death of Mr Guy Moore Pruncupal of Ramsey Hugh School Although we had only known hum for a short tume we soon developed a fond feelung for hum When our freshman year drew to a close the foundatuons for our future had been laud furmly We then looked fouward to three more wonderful years at Ramsey many of us jouned the varuous clubs and partucupated un sports The class utself became more unufued as we grew acquaunted wuth our out of town classmates who were also attendung Ramsey Hugh Stull on double sessuons we envued the upperclassmen who were able to enjoy the afternoon sun Nevertheless our late sessuon also had uts advantages sunce we dudnt have the unpleasant task of battlung wuth the alarm clocks brught and ear y Wuth Mr Schanz holdung the posutuon of Pruncupal and Mr Mutchell Vuce Pruncupal our second year at Ramsey now came to an end Thus meant that next year we would be wuthout our Mahwah and Allendale fruends We looked forward to a hugh spuruted ruvalry wuth them after the completuon of Mahwah Hugh School As junuors we boasted the tutle of the lower upper classmen To head the class that year we elected Gage Naudaun Presudent Alan Vullarosa Vuce Presudent Margue Frye Treasurer and Judy Hart Secretary I4 . . . , . . . .
