CLASS HISTORY September of 1953 sow our orrivol os the new botch of Freshies, morking the beginning of our never-to-be-forgotten high school yeors. As the months slipped by, we groduolly become occustomed to the new routine, new teochers-new everything, ond were thoroughly imbued with school spirit by the ubiquitous uppercloissmen ond sonctified seniors with whom we were privileged to mingle, ond whom we worshiped from ofor. Since ours wos Romsey's lorg- est Freshmon Closs to dote, we spent much of our first yeor getting cicquointed with our clossmotes ond flfew goining new friendships which would lost beyond our high school yeors ond into loter life. Too, our closs wos the first to hove o treosury in its Freshmon yeor, for we won one hundred dollors os o prize for selling the most mogozines in our school drive. Our Sophomore yeor brought the stoggered split session, so thot we were still with the upperclossmen for port of the doy. We looked forwcird to returning next yeor mogicolly tronsformed into upperclossmen. ltwos time for o chonge. As Juniors, we suddenly goined new stotus. The election of copoble, hordworking closs officers: Jock Simonds, president, Bob Wrotholl, vice president, Albo Rogers, secretory, Dory Villoroso, treosurer, helped us to occomplish our oims. With the success of our lucrotive Christmos cord business, our closs become finonciolly solvent.
