You Are There CLASS HISTORY ln Sepfernber of I95l, our bewildered summer sfock casf sfarfed up fhe ladder fo sfardom. On fhe firsf day, we all looked over flue props and scenery very carefully, jusf fo make sure fhaf fhere were no flaws. Affer fhe firsf day and confinuing on flurough fhe year, we gradually became accusfomed fo our surroundings. Our bewilder- menf and sfage-frighf suddenly ebbed away and we be- came a small parf in fhaf excellenfly casf role of high school. Having complefed our firsf rung on fhaf ladder fo success, we began fo look forward 'ro fhe second. By fhis lime, we were slowly gaining recognifion: fhe fop sfars began looking down and faking nofice of us. Gradually we were each admiffed info a cerfain sociefy or group. All of us were sfill wondering and hoping fhaf some day. we, foo, would reach fhaf heighf of success, fhe senior class and fop rung, which we so idolized and respecfed. Affer finishing our fhree monfhs of summer sfock we fhen became whaf is known as an upperclassrnan, a junior. Our junior year was a very evenfful one. We began in Sepfernber by elecfing our class officers, Presidenf, Dick Boddy: Vice-presidenf, Ronnie Sussex: Secrefary, Joan Adney: Treasurer, Sue Cahill. They did a very fine job. During fhe course of fhe ye:.r, we began fo realize fhaf fhe underclassmen were looking up fo us. ln January of our Junior year, fry-oufs were faken for fhe Junior Play. The casf was selecfed and fhe play was called, Sevenfeenfh Summer. The casf included: Jean Pulis, Dave De Revere. Barbara Healy, Nina Crifchle i Wesley Dickens. Lorene Scala, Ann Heafh, Bill Widnall, Dave Blanchard. Jay Fippinger, Alice Komenf. and Val Kopach. The play and casf were a huge success. Page Twelve llflfl ol Q9 mf Biff On May 29, l954, we presenfed fhe Junior Prom called, Oufside of Heaven. The class worked very hard fo make if a success and if was. Our Junior year had ended very successfully. We were moving up fhaf ladder of success and we had almosf made fhe fop rung. Our Senior year had af lasf arrived. We had reached fhaf heighf of success, fhe lop rung. We began our Senior year b elecfinq class officers. They were fhe following: Presigenf, Dick Boddy: Vice- presidenf, Bob Spohn: Secrefary, Joan Adney: Treasurer, Sue Cahill: Edifor-in-chief of fhe Nuggef, Ann Heafh: Assisfanf edifors, Lee Bryan, Jean Pulis and Nina Crifch- ley. Our spirifs soared fo oufer space and we mef up wifh Capfain Galaxy, fhe leading characfer of our Senior class play, Fafher's Been fo Mars, which we presenfed on December 3 and 4. The leading characfers were: Waller Dunsby, our friend Capfain Galaxy, and Lyn Surpless, fhe maid, Erfha. Hardly before fhe play was over, fhe prom was upon us. We decided if would be held af fhe Swiss Chalef in Ramsey. The fheme was fiffingly named, Alpine Holi- day. Everybody fhorougluly enjo ed himself, because of fhe new experience of holding flie prom ouf. The remainder of our year was devofed enfirely fo our marks and fhe complefion of our yearbook. Before we knew if, Class Nighr had come, displaying fhe undiscovered falenfs of our brillianf senior class. The nexf sfep was graduafion, and alfhough everybody was oufwardly joyful, inwardly we all remembered fhe fun and good fimes we had had, and we leff lhe school wifh mixed feelings-sorrow for leaving, buf apprehension for fhe coming fufure. inl- POSTSCRIPT We The Senior Class of Ramse High School, being of sound mind and in possession of much wealTh, do hearby bequeaTh our Treasures To Those who survive us. ln The year of our Lord, one Thousand nine hundred and TiTTy-Tive. we make known To The world ThaT This is our lasl' Will and TesTamenT.
