So, in the school Girlsf glee club, and five members of the High Scholl Orchestra. Many of the school leaders were within its ranks. The Editor of the R. H. S. Journal, the President and the Treasurer of the lthleblc Association, and the President of the S. A. Club were there will be e large number of places to fill activities when September rolls around, o the members of the class will try their luck the fall. Others will go out to make their fortunes in the world. The season's record was two games wen and four hast. One of the victories was an 11-7 win over Vandalia. behind the fine gitohing of Wanbaugh, the Ramsey team flashed a good brand of all. Another win was a 4 to 5 victory over Biownstown. The boys under Coach Green's direction won thirteen games and lost fifteen, but they met some very fast competition, against whom they played some zerg fine games Some of the losses were by one or twoRgoin s uch as the Pane game there and the Vande is game at msey. In the Fonrth annual Ramsey Invitational Tournament, the hosts took th1rd.Q1ace after w nning a very exciting game from Tower Hill. They los 'their second f game to Vandalia, and won third place by defeating Brownstown. The boys on the team all won letters this year and five of them will be back next year. The five that are Siade' uated are Buhnerkempe, Stoddarw, E. Stokes, Lakin, and ull, while H. Stokes, Waneeugh, Szaif, Garlock, and Spires will be training their eagle eyes at the hoop next winter. Vandalia, St. Elmo, and Bingham also entered. The relay team was undefeated. Wanbaugh was the outstanding star winning the 220 yard dash every time, and the 100 yard dash every time save one. He also ran as anchor man on the relay? toami The other members of the relay team were Blythe, Buhnerkempe, and England. Carlock and Buhnerkempe did good work in the high jump and in the pole vault. The other members of the track team were Finley, Freitag, G. Buhnerkempo, and H. Stokes. of the Fayette County The team entered the District Track Meet at Charleston, but wen only one place in the meet. Now, at the end of the term there are twenty-two members with others about ready to join. The Orchestra gave a Concert about the middle of the school year. They also had charge of the Music at the Commencement. They also played in the Carnival, and appeared many other times on occasions at which their presence was demanded. An Officer Of The Iew, and how..........Mont Spires. SYNOPSIS The scene of the play is in the apartment of Phillip and Georgia Page in New York city where they are studying art. ' Phi11ip's uncle, Harry Page, and Georgia's aunt, Jane Chillinge, unaware of their marriage, are sending them ellgwanoee. It is a strange co-incidence that both of them are unaltersbly opposed to marriage. After receiving messages that these relatives are coming to visit them, unbeknown to each other, Philip and Georgia decide to withold information about their marriage. Georgia convinces Philip to impersonate a girl friend when Aunt Jane is visiting them, and Philip demands that Georgia impersonate a boy-friend when uncle Harry is present. The comnlrsatlons which arise when the aunt and uncle appear ' provide the hasis'for a farce of good, rollicking mirth. She is threatened with being driven out of town by th indignant townspeople. About this time the town is agog over the expected visit of the Governor of the state and his daughter. The big night arrives.'Wild enthusiasm reigns as a mammoth parade, colored flares, and cheering throngs greet the distinguished guests. Anita Strobel won the Carnival Queen crown over Josephine Evans by a very close race. OPERETTA The Operetta, NMiss'CherryhlossomH was held in the Gymnasium on the evening of Merch 25, 1952. It was well attended and everyone seemed to enjoy it. The setting was inf e Japanese Tea Garden. The Operetta was under tho direction and supervision of all Esther Coggeshall. About thirty people took part in the play. Miss Evelyn Bolt and Robert Buhnerkcmpo sang the loads. BEAUTY AND POPULhRITY CONTEST For the second straight year the high school voted Rose Mary Miller as the most beautiful girl in school. Also for the second year, Dorothy Mhedler was voted the most popular girl. Ierraine Denton was chosen as the most friendly girl in school.
