Last Ol and Sestament We, the Senior Class of nineteen hundred and sixty-seven, realizing that our days at our old Alma Mater are numbered, and being of reasonably sound mind, do make and bequeath this our last will and testament. ARTICLE I To our parents, we bequeath our love and appreciation throughout our twelve years at Ramseur High. ARTICLE II To our principal and our faculty, we say a grateful ''Thank you for their patience, guidance and undying efforts through the years. ARTICLE If To the Juniors, we bequeath our title Dignified Seniors, ’ our chapel seats, our regrets for the opportunities we have lost, and our resolutions we didn't keep. ARTICLE IV To the Sophomores, we bequeath our titles brilliant and 'intelligent'' in hopes that some day it may be of value to them. ARTICLE V To the Freshmen, we bequeath the title ''Silly Sophomores and all our daydreams which didn't come true. ARTICLE VI I, Neil Allen, do leave my position on the Basketball and Baseball teams to Phil Burgess, and David Wilson. I leave my club memberships to Parks, my superlative ''Most Likely to Succeed and my homeroom seat to Jo Lynn. I, Susan Bodsford, do leave my title ''Homecoming Queen to Jo Lynn Stout, my position as President of F. H. A. to Ann Brown, and my title Annual Editor to anyone with will power and good strong nerves. The rest I leave to my brother Mike. I, Linda Bray, do leave my title Miss R.H.S. ' to Connie Coward, my position as President of the Student Coun- cil to Gregg Pell, and my position of co-captain of the Basketball team to Julia Gales. The rest I leave to Pat Mc- Alister. I, Josephine Briles, do leave my ability to leave school everyday to anyone who thinks he can get away with it, and my position as a senior to Martha Joyce. I, Patricia Brown, do leave my smile to Mrs. Lucy Leonard, my position on the 'TRam and RAMSONIAN Staff to Ann McNeil. To my sister Sebra, I leave my love for all the teachers, and to Martha Joyce I leave my position in the senior class. I, Tracy Brower, do leave my ability to be quiet during class to Julia Gales, and my senior seat to Jennifer Graves. I, Karen Burgess, do leave my superlative ''Most Original''to Ann Watkins, my positionas a senior to Polly Little- ton. All the rest I leave to my sister Kathy, except for all the memories I take with me. I, David Cain, do leave my ability to lay out of school to David Staley, my English book to my cousin Susan Wil- son, and my seat in the senior class to Jo Gaye Allred. I, Charles Carraway, do leave my ability to get to school on time to Bobby Glover, and my senior seat to David Marley. I, Darrell Carmac, do leave my bus to Turpin's Junk Yard, my driving record to Kirby, and my ability to lay out of classes to Judy York. I, Larry Cassidy, do leave my ability to get to school late to Bobby Glover, my seat in the senior class to James Spinks, and my place in P. E, to Jerry Green. I, Steve Caviness, do leave my Senior Class Vice Presidency to Alan Flowers, my position in Key Club and F.B. L.A. to Richard Cox, my little black book to Ernie Whitehead, and I do leave RAMSEUR. I, David (Chigger) Chriscoe, leave my title ''All Conference in Basketball and Baseball to Nicky Brady and Tim Wright, my title Most Valuable Player'’ to Danny Burgess, my superlative ''Best All Around to Chip Graham, and my G car to Mom and Dad. I, Peggy Coleman, do leave my seat in the senior classto my brother Ronald, my superlative ''Most Dependable to Henrietta Wright, and my place on the Ram Staff to Cathy Conrad. I, Kenneth Conrad, do leave my seat in the senior class to my sister, Cathy, and my ability to get out of school work to Darrell Phillips. I, Kathy Cross, do leave my Superlative ''Best All Around to Henrietta Wright, my title as 'Key Club Sweet- heart'' to Ann White, and my position as Chief Cheerleader to Jo Lynne Stout. The rest I leave to my sister Angie. I, Susan Davis, leave my position as a senior to my brother Greg, my Chemistry book to my brother Mark, my position as VicePresident of F.B.L.A.to Vickie Boger, and my correspondence with the ''Tribune 'to Paulette Little- ton. I, Frankie Farr ar, leave my position on the football and basketball team to Nicky Brady and Doug Hill and my ability to play baseball to James Cheek. I, Donald Gaddy, do leave my superlative ''Most Original''to Ronnie King, my position on the annual staffto Tommy Strickland, and the rest I leave to my sister Judy. Little did we know about the things we were to learn and to achieve during the next twelve years. ’ After becoming accustomedto our new surroundings and tothe rules we were cond 3 to follow, it seemed as though the next eight years passed before we realized it. es Our trips to Chapel Hill and Raleigh are probably the most remembered events of our grammar school years. ay Withall our experiences in grammar school behind us, we enteredthe strange, eae 7) but exciting, world of being a highschool student. Althoughfreshmen are only on ooaNy « the first step of the ladder, we were determined to doour best and reach that top 4 step. Sod heen After three months of summer vacation, we ''Greenhorns , taking another step up that ladder, changed our title to ''Silly Sophomores. This was still another year of studying and learning along with the other pleasures of being inhigh school. ees fe wae y. Another step up that ladder and wewere suddenly Juniors. That year we sold ye if magazines to help finance our Junior-Senior Prom, Shower of Stars was the Arts theme of our Prom and it was held inthe high school gymnasium. Soon after- ; AS : Peas es ward we ordered our class rings, which gave us the feelingthat our long-awaited | ne xyAGT senior year was approaching. Making the daisy chain for Class Night also pro- ‘1% Vg ve gk, vided quite a lot of enjoyment for most of the class. We have finally reached the top of the ladder. It does not seem ry, Seniors! Be possible that twelve years have passed since we first entered R.H.S. This year ne we elected David Chriscoe, President; Steve Caviness, Vice-President; Brenda Heilig, Secretary Treasurer; Kathryn Nelson, Reporter. st Most of us are saddened at the thought of leaving our Alma Mater, but we Me realize that we have other goals to achieve and other careers to follow. To Mrs. Martha York and Mr. Charles Edwards, we extend our thanks for their helpful guidance during our senior year. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to our parents, who have helped us far more than they realize, and to our teachers for their helpfulness and guidance. I, Kathyrn Nelson, leave my position on the 'Ram Staff to Pat McAlister, my superlative Best Dressed to Jo Lynne Stout, and to Ann Brown I leave my membership and title Miss FBLA, I, Dale Nichols, leave my place in the gambling hall to the rich freshmen, my bad grades in school to whoever needs them, and my place in clubs to anyone who wants it. I, Jimmy Overman, do leave my seat in the senior class to Jerry Parks, and my parking place for my little old Chevrolet to Pat Jester.
