Class Song Now the time has come for parting And it's time to say good-by. To something we feel much a part of To our School, Ole Ramseur High. As we leave this hallowed old building, We leave part of ourselves behind. We leave precious memories that we'll never forget And respect for our teachers so kind. On parting we feel grief and sorrow. We know that our time's drawing nigh, But we'll take with us all our achievements We've attained from Ole Ramseur High. As we go out in life on our own And try to reach up to the sky, We'll remember where we got our founda- tion in life In the walls of Ole Ramseur High. Frankie McAlister David Chriscoe Class Sotto The greater the strife; the greater the glory. Class Color Carolina Blue and White 26 Class Hower White Carnation with Blue Tint Clas JS 2 GEL Twelve years ago on an autumn morn A school bell rang clear and loud, And we took our places in the old school- house As a part of an eager crowd, The fun and laughter we have shared, Our teachers, friends, parents and all Who helped mold us into a pattern good and true, Have made us ready for duty's call. The long-awaited time has come, With the future in front of us And with the past not far behind, We will linger no longer in halls divine. As a tear or two slip down our cheeks, With heavy hearts we bid adieu. We cherish childhood dreams And with God's help, we'll ever be true. Class Poets Jo Ann Parnell Harris Marley

Little did we know about the things we were to learn and to achieve during the next twelve years. ’ After becoming accustomedto our new surroundings and tothe rules we were cond 3 to follow, it seemed as though the next eight years passed before we realized it. es Our trips to Chapel Hill and Raleigh are probably the most remembered events of our grammar school years. ay Withall our experiences in grammar school behind us, we enteredthe strange, eae 7) but exciting, world of being a highschool student. Be possible that twelve years have passed since we first entered R.H.S. This year ne we elected David Chriscoe, President; Steve Caviness, Vice-President; Brenda Heilig, Secretary Treasurer; Kathryn Nelson, Reporter. st Most of us are saddened at the thought of leaving our Alma Mater, but we Me realize that we have other goals to achieve and other careers to follow. To Mrs. Martha York and Mr. Charles Edwards, we extend our thanks for their helpful guidance during our senior year. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to our parents, who have helped us far more than they realize, and to our teachers for their helpfulness and guidance.
