Well, here we are about to leave Ramseur High. 1 ‘As we look back on all these years, we breathe a sigh ofrelief, be¬ cause we have almost accomplished one goal that we have been struggling for since 1953. As we now look back on those years in the elementary grades, we can see their purpose that we couldn ' t see then. We realize now that the elementary grades served as a lad¬ der which we must climb in order to make us ready for to¬ day ' s world. Suddenly we realized that we were surrounded by that long-awaited class of distinction called high school. We had many different teachers, harder textbooks, and the responsi¬ bility of being more on our own than in the elementary grades. However, after a short while, we were accustomed to high school life and we began to settle down with hope, anticipation, and curiosity for the other three years to come. After a brief summer vacation, we returned as sopho¬ mores and were ready to meet its challenges. We were happy this year because we couldn ' t be called greenhorns anymore. As the next school term rolled around, we realized that we were now juniors, and just one year away from being a sen¬ ior. This was a big year because we would be included in the Junior-Senior Prom. The prom was held in the high school gymnasium on May 8, 1964. The theme was Tender is the Night. Then the time came to order our class rings, and the excitement began to mount because we knew that it wouldn ' t be long until we would be seniors. After another brief s ummer we entered school again, but this time it was really different because we were Seniors! This year proved to be the year to top all the other years be¬ cause of all the confusion that comes with seniors. In closing, we would like to say a word of thanks to our teachers and parents who have faithfully and tirelessly guided us through these twelve short years. We would also like to express a special thanks to Miss McNeill and Mrs. Frazier who gave us much needed help in our senior year. Last, to the students remaining at Ramseur Sigh School, we would like to say thanks for helping make our school years brighter. . 1 Thank You. ... y Larry Spencer Qlass Historian V’ ] I; ' V %( ;i: 1 V, C -A- S’ Jl - V-v v.v SM ;: r 34 d as ( )ij and destameni We, the Senior Class of nineteen hundred and sixty-five, realizing that our days at our old Alma Mater are numbered, and being of reasonably sound mind, do make and bequeath this our last will and testament.
