JKiss C ma HSurgess Miss Elma Burgess who lost her life in an automobile accident on October 20, 1963 . . . This is an expression of our love for Miss Pete, as she was affectionately called. Her years of service to Ramseur School as first grade teacher, her interest in, and her active role in guiding students made her a keystone in the growth and development of this school. Her memory and influence will long live in the lives of those whom she taught and those who knew and loved her. ° If we work upon marble, it will perish. If we carve upon bronze, time will efface it. If we rear temples, they will crumble into dust.
