Learning the Basics 456789 THE KINDERGARTEN recognized wrote the alphabet numbers from 1-20 knew 15 basic words. They learned to get along with others, take turns with rhythm steps learned to jump rope. Beginning sounds of letters were stressed with M being highlighted by a Chinese party, (Lower Left). Macaroni cheese was made eaten with chop sticks. Having made Coolie hats, they sat on the floor by small tables. ■ Below: Nancy Habeger and Daryl Renshaw shows their work to Mrs. Nancy Arend, the new Special-Ed teacher, who was added to the faculty this fall. 20
