BACK ROlfi John Strang,Rogor Kggcbra ten, Duane Lembcko, Doan Eggobratea, Garald Manthey, and Coach Anderson. FRONT ROW: Gerald Palli, Robert Rensoh,Robert Thurov, Daniel Wolf, and Duane Strang. On February 7, 1951, the Ramona Rockets journeyed to Franklin filled with animosity. They were making a bid to redeem themselves from an earlier drubbing at the hands of the Flyers. The Rockets returned to Ramona as conquerors the score being 48-42. It was a close contest with the score being tied at several occasions. Robert Rensch and Daniel Wolf gained eighteen and sixteen points re- spectively and with able assistance from Duane Strang, John Strang, and Gerald Palli proved to be just too much for the Franklinites. Ramona regained her pre-holiday form near the close of the season. In their final game, they gave the high- ly tauted Tigers, from Howard, one of their toughest contest in their conquest of District 17. Duane Strang led the part on1 this occasion, netting sixteen points. He was ably assisted by his brother John with three. Daniel Wolf with seven, Robert Rensch and Gerald Palli with two. Their tight defense baffled Howard and it looked like it might be another district upset for 1951, but the Howard boys with their extreme advantage in height made it pay off to the tune of 30-43. 27
