By spring they had successfully finished their first year under Mrs. Doyle's guidance. They had been Joined by Robert Boulals but the following year he transferred to Madison and Douglas Smith also dropped out. The nine remaining completed a successful Journey through the sophomore year. Fall of 1950 saw the loss of Arvid Hagemann leav- ing eight Juniors. Henrietta Lingle was elected to lead them and secretary-treasurer was Ava Mae Rensoh. Other Juniors were Sharon Casanova, Douglas Dooley, Evelyn Krueger, G-erald Palll, John Strang, and ■obert Thurow. 17

During the second six weeks, Mary Lois Boyda left to attend high school In Texas. The twelve remaining students continued togeth- er until March, 1940. Then Shirley Ring transferred- to Sioux i alls. This left a total of eleven students, who finished the year together. When they reassembled at the high school in September of 1950, they found that Mary Lois had returned from hus increasing their number to twelve once more, ihey chose Vonnle Kasch to guide them through the year with Wayne Casanova as her assistant. Secretary- treasurer was Vonnle Manthey, and Naomi Michelke was class reporter. During the first semester, another mem- ber, Richard Barnes, transferred to Sioux Falls.
