A Week of Fantasies ... It was a week of fantasies come true for many RHS students. Spirit filled the air while many anxiously awaited Friday night’s big event. The week involved such activities as: dress-up days, class competitions, King and Queen voting, and, as always, the annual Homecoming Parade. On Monday it began with students dressing as tourists. With cameras around their necks and hats on their heads, it was quite an eventful day. At lunch everyone gathered around to watch “Gag in the Bag”. On Tuesday, Farmer Day, cowboy hats and overalls were the popular attire. Everyone joined in to build their class pyramid as high as it would go. On Wednesday, students and teachers dressed in a new kind of fashion. It was “Clash Day” at RHS with the patterns ranging from purple polka dots to yellow and green stripes, and even both of them together. This day’s class competition was a tug-of-war in which the mighty Seniors pulled out in front. Thursday was the classic “Nerd Day” and everyone seemed to dress and act appropriate- ly. The water toss at lunch was fun for all. To end this fun-filled week, Friday was “Spirit Day with everyone wearing their class colors. The Juniors succeeded in winning the Homecoming float contest with their portrayal of the knight slaying the drag- on and protecting his castle. The Seniors followed close behind for second place with their float of “Fanta-Seas.” A pep assem- bly and an A.S.B. barbecue at lunch were a great finish for this memorable week of activities. It soon would be Saturday’s big dance where many of us would have the time of our lives. Not only did we have a wonder- ful week of fun, we soon would be having a night of “fantasies”.
