Sari Immonen arrived during the summer from Finland to spend her senior year here in Ramona. She finds California's climate appealing, and she especially likes our beaches. She enjoys Ramona High School and having the opportunity to participate in the numerous school activities. She likes Finish people more; however, she feels our boys are more gentlemanly. Sari says that America is not as free as she expected. Rita Gaspar. a senior visiting from Portugal Finds America a pleasantly different experience. She feels Americans have many opportunities, be- cause of our strong government and currency. Although she Finds America bee. she finds High School smothering and has a feeling that a Big Brother is watching. As for Ramona itself; she says Ramona is a nice LITTLE town, but I don't like living here. Although we all can attest to its smallness. Rita says that Ramona is a different experience, and because of that, she likes it. Foreign Exchange 23

It’s A Small World 22 Foreign Exchange Faamealaja Tauleglo is our Foreign Exchange student from American Somoa. She likes America better than the South Seas, because of the weather. She also likes Ramona, because it bears a strong resemblance to her village on Somoa's coast. She likes the school; however, she says people are more serious about learning. I aamealaja's school stands in contrast to those of other Foreign Exchange student s, in that there are more activities. In Somoa there are few poor people, and most everyone is polite. Though she likes America and it's people, she feels more comfortable living in Somoa. From Finland, Tiina Piensoho is spending her senior year here at R.H.S. She says that R.H.S. is easier than her school, and that Ramona has more activities. Tiina finds no big difference in the countries' people; however, the people here seem more friendly, especially the boys. Well, she likes the country and the people, so what about the town.-' Though it’s a nice little town, Tiina says that it can sure get boring.
