CLASS HISTORY Tbo summer turns to winter And the present disappears The laughter we were glad to share Will echo thru the years.” From the song Graduation Day SCHOOL DAYS—DLAR OLE GOLDLN RULE DAYS In the Fall of 1947, school days brought together the first members of the Class of 1959. Among the first were Eddie, Ralph, Dave, Barb Gilmore, Errol, Sylvia, Joe, Sam, Vicki, Don, Jack, Judy McDonald, Frank, Virginia, Philip and Arnold. In our second year Julia, Barb Evans, and Dale joined our friendly class. Surprisingly, one year went past and not one student did we acquire. At last in the fourth grade Sharon Geek joined the crew. Shirlee and Rowen came in the fifth. As each year went by, we became a larger class. The sixth grade brought a lot of new students, Dick, Richard, Pat Marshall and Tom. Many wonderful days were spent in grammar school, and many lasting friendships were made during that time. GROWIN UP Yes, we were all ready for our Junior High years, as we called the 7th and 8th grades. But the going was rough and a bit different than the lower grades. In the 7th grade Bob Davis, Gary. Jan, Roberta, Neal, Claudia, Jacque, and Sharon Edens were new. We acquired no more students in the 8th grade but that didn't stop our ambition. It was our class that established the first student body government for the Junior High. Before we could accomplish much more, June 1955 arrived and graduation from the 8th grade was accomplished. This graduation brought great dreams of the future years in High School. In our grammar and Junior High years, we acquired traits of leader- ship, spirit and loyalty that would be a characteristic mark of our class for years to come. MOMENTS TO REMEMBER We were welcomed to High School in our Freshman year with the Freshmen Recep- tion. Being the students that we were, we took our initiation just like any good sport would. Joining us in time to be initiated were Jerry, Judy Ferguson, Alfred, and Chuck. After our first and frantic year, we were ready to move into our Sophomore year and start our, various activities with our new members Esther, Pam, Ruth, Gail, Daphne, and Peggy. Our Junior year came quite quickly and had many plans to be carried out with many responsibilities as well. Mary Anne, Mickey, Jean, and Ray joined us to share our pleasures and pains. finally the year we had worked so hard for througljf all those years—our SENIOR YFAR. Only two students joined us,‘Pat Muse, and Bonnie. They made our final en- rollment tff 52 students, the largest graduating class Ramona ever had. This year was filled with many hours fof «fun and excitement which w'e all enjoyed. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES M Yes, thanks lor the memories. This school has provided many memories and our class will never forget them. Moments such as the Freshman Reception, the Junior Talent Show, the Juniiirt and Senior Prom Enchanted Forest, one of our most beautiful memories, the trip to Needles where we at last won our hard earned C.I.F. champion- ship in footba I. The Senior play and Ditch Dav were a lot of fun for all of us. Gradua- tion is a memory that not one of the Seniors will forget. GRADUATION DAY Good Pgs cannot continue forc Sto we, the Class of nrtust sa goodby to all our teachers who stood by us when help was needed and all of our friends who helped to make our high school years complete. Now as we walk into the future with new and unknown things facing us, we will look back to all of our’memories, and we will remember them for a long, long time.
