Vice Principal's Message A yearbook is more than just a picture book. It is a permanent record for all time, of the many activities that have taken place during the year. I still enjoy look- ing at old annuals from my high school days and re- living the happy times, and many years from now you will be doing the same. The 1958-59 El Ano represents a great deal of work on the part of the annual staff, and they have done a very fine job. I hope that this annual and those to follow reflect a steady growth in our school of those ideals of out- standing citizenship and will serve as an inspiration to our student body. Principal 's Message Our youth will determine the future of our Nation and will hold the fate of its destiny in their hands. Your dreams and ideals will help greatly in your work of prep- aration and training for the leadership of our great Nation. Your ideals, if not for- gotten, will help you to be persistent in the development of the necessary skills, char- acter, and qualities of leadership for the fulfillment of great dreams. The achievement of ideals can be compared to the successful publishing of an annual, or the satisfactory completion of a year of school work. The success or failure of either is determined by faith in self and the willingness to work hard and patiently for one's dreams. Therefore, to have high ideals and great dreams and to work toward their realization is to appreciate their importance. Finally, the greatest Teacher of all time explained it this way, Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” We believe in the young people of Ramona High School and commend you highly for your many accomplishments. We firmly believe you can and will live up to your ideals. 8
