Who waited while you dashed down to catch the school bus3 Who gave you a second helping that day when you were so hungry? And who tidied up after you for nine long months? The 1958 El Ano is dedicated to these people. They keep our school running by performing those services which enable us to have an efficient place of education. With sincere appreciation for their friendliness and hard work, El Ano is dedicated to our Ramona High School Staff! You have many reasons to be proud, especially of your future opportunities. Yours is going to be a life of high challenge and adventure; providing you are j ■willing to educate and prepare your- selves for lives of imagination, Constructive service and aggressive action toward the elimination of man's inequality, suffering, poverty and dangerous loss of liberty. To work and pray for the elimination of these handicaps to man will require all the energy, intelligence and courage you possess. So congratulations to you graduates and future graduates. May you never fail your high ambitions and ideals which will lead you to a wonderful life of adventure. Sincerely, Perry S. Morris Principal DWANE J BURC Vice Priu.ipal Students: As El Ano brings to us the records of the 1957-58i school year with its humor and sentimentalities, it perpetuates for us the memories of the year. Among the most valued qf these memories are the many friendships which have been de- veloped and the happy associations wc have had with these friends, j As wc reflect on the pleasant memories of the past war, questions automatically arise and call for answers. Among these are: While I have been enjoying these pleasant associations and experiences, what has hapened to me? Have I developed a more inspiring and magnetic personality? How has pay influence pt the school affected the school and my fellow stu- dents? Have I been a true and worthy friend? Have I lived in suen a way that the traditions and standards of the school have not been transgressed? Have my words aad attitude helped othpr students? Have I lived and worked so that those who have labored to make this past year at Ramona Higty School possible are happy? If you can answer these questions in tfie affirmative, you have had a rewarding year. Sincerely, {School Jioarcf TOP ROW, LEFT TO RIGHT: Mr. James Raymond. Mr. lames H. MiWhorter. The first fifteen all did appear, Ramona Elementary was the place, The teachers were waiting to see each new face. Linda, Gary, Frances, and Ann Were all a part of the first grade clan. So were Eleanor, Terry, Skip, and Don Donahue; Rosemarie, Gilda, and Alan, too. Don’t forget Clara, Jack, and Bobby Brown, There we were — THE BEST IN TOWN. Gloria came late, and made us complete, Our first grade class just couldn't be beat. Don Upson, Della, Lynn, and Mickey Farmer Came in the third grade and each was a charmer. The sixth grade brought us Sharon, Dick, and Bill Crawley; Each new addition made us more jolly. In Jr. High we gained more still— George, Rochelle, and Roberta Till, Then Sara Jones, and Susan, her twin— Now we were ready for High’’ to begin. Charles Freeman, Val Dean, and Patty- Two Freshman lassies but only one laddie. In our Junior year, just one more to go. Here’s whom we gained, we’d like you to know. Kay, Charles, and Sally Kirn, Who wasted no time our friendship to earn. Bob Arey came at the start of the twelfth. Just his presence increased our wealth. As we come to the end of our senior year, We thank our teachers who have been so near. Ramona High we leave behind. Better days we’ll never find.
