CLASS OF '57 We Freshmen took a while to get used to the new grind, but once we did, we really got down to busi- ness. First . . . The Curtis Magazine Drive. We placed sec- ond on Subscriptions. Second . . . The Parent-Teacher Association member- ship drive. We again placed second. Then the F.F.A. Sweetheart Contest. We got out of the second place, and our candidate Doris Smyth came in first. The candidate for annual queen was Linda McIntosh. We placed second in raising well wisher money. Our candidate for Carnival Queen was Joanne Dyche. We tried selling cookies, but it was a total loss. In our first year, the treasury didn’t grow, but we did, and we loved every minute of it.
