CLASS OF ’56 The Sophomore Class started out the new school year with the Freshman Reception. The Theme . . . “Toyland,” Purpose . . . “To break in our new Fresh- men to the routine.” Chairman of the dance was Pat Williams. Left to Right—Chuck Tozer, Ronald Schow, Donald Farmer, Pat Williams. Left to Right—David Farmer, Jim Teague, Pat Williams, Paul Flickinger. The Future Farmers of America’s Sweetheart Con- test found Jesse Lang in the running. For the annual Well-Wisher Drive Charlene Huston, our candidate, came in third. In March the carnival came along. The “Ring Toss” and the “Bean Bag Throw” were our projects. The candidate for Carnival Queen was Charlene Huston. We sold popcorn at the football games to increase our treasury for the Junior-Senior Prom next year. We are looking forward to being Juniors next term, still this has been a wonderful year.

CLASS OF '57 We Freshmen took a while to get used to the new grind, but once we did, we really got down to busi- ness. First . . . The Curtis Magazine Drive. We placed sec- ond on Subscriptions. Second . . . The Parent-Teacher Association member- ship drive. We again placed second. Then the F.F.A. Sweetheart Contest. We got out of the second place, and our candidate Doris Smyth came in first. The candidate for annual queen was Linda McIntosh. We placed second in raising well wisher money. Our candidate for Carnival Queen was Joanne Dyche. We tried selling cookies, but it was a total loss. In our first year, the treasury didn’t grow, but we did, and we loved every minute of it.
