S2 IVISION CSCMlSW1 J11111111e Supply Dep ew Jimmie McKnight graduated in 1980 from Saint .J S CMSchool, Kingstree, SC. enlisted in the United States Navy in 1983. His recruit traininggaand basic training was conducted at Recruit Trainingggommand and Naval Trainin Diego, CA. This training prepared him for lrt liislifirst tour of duty CK CAO 1791, homeported in Virginia. After six months CK, Master Chief McKnight struck out of Deck Department into Mess Management'Specialist Seaman. During his tive-year tour qualified Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and in 1897 advanced to Officer. In 1988 he selected PCS orders to NTTC Corry Station, Pensacola he attended Food Service Administration Mess SpeQialisti C School at Fleet Norfolk, Virginia and received the Leading Messjpecralrst NEC. He Corry Station, Pensacola, Florida in January 1989. That same year he irst Class PettfS?fOflicer and was selected as ofthe Quarter for the 3rd ln .January 1992 Master Chief McKnight transferred to USS ROBERT G. BRADLEY CF FG 491,.11o111eported in Charleston served as Food Service Division Leading Petty Officer. During this tour he was selected as a Sailor ofthe Quarter and was lor ROBERT G. BRADLEY's Sailor of the Year. In 1995, he was selected for advancement to Chief Petty Ofhcer. llis next duty station was USS DULUTH CLPD 61 in San Diego, CA, as the LeadirigChief Petty for Food Service Division, a Senior Chiet' billet that had been gapped for four months. He led DULUTH,s Food Servide?Division through their Supply Management nient. were they received a grade ot'OUTSTANDlNG, qualiiying DULUTH for the Blue GET 'fetl ln November 1997, Master Chief received orders to NSA Naples, Italy. He reported in January 10998 as Food Service ing t'hrel' Petty Officer. Shortly after reporting he was selected for advancement to Senior Chief Petty Ofiicer and hand-picked to fill gripped billet as the base's Command Master-At-Arms. Muster C'ltiel'h'leKnigl1t next reported to USS GUNSTON HALL CLSD 441 as the Supply Department Leading Chief Petty lfood Service Division Oilicer. ln Jrtntrary 2002 Muster Chief translerred to NAS Jacksonville, Florida. En route Bachelor Quarters nt Ltreklrtnd Air I-'oree Base. San Antonio, Texas, and received NEC 3538. ln 2002, heilifansferred to NAS N 1 w JNL. :rs the L ornbined Bachelor Housing Manager Leading Chief Petty Oflicer. .1 1 111011 receipt of PCS orders in February of2005, Master Chief reported to USS AUSTIN QLPD 41 .Xlhl IN- deployed Noveniber 2005 in the Arabian Gulf in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. deeonnntssioned on September 27, 2006. Sinee reporting he assumed duties as acting Connnund Master Chief while RAMAGE was assigned to the Fifth Fleet area ofoperations in support ofthe Global War on Terror.
