Upon graduation he repO1'ted to Hospital Coipsman School in San Diego and then Advanced Laboratory A Technician C School in Bethesda. Maryland. where he was advanced to Third Class Petty Officer. Upon graduation from C School he was assigned to Charlie Company, 2nd Medi- cal Battalion, 2nd FSSG, Camp Lejeune. North Carolina. He was advanced to Second Class petty Officer while in Camp Lejeune. In 1995. he transferred to Branch Medical C linic, Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia. He served in the clinic laboratory as an Advanced Laboratory Technician. He ap- plied and reported to Independent Duty Corpsman C School in September 1998 and was advanced to First Class Petty Officer in October. Upon graduation from Independent Duty Corpsman 'gC', School, he reported aboard USS Deyo CDD-9895 and served as the Senior Medical Department Representative. He earned 3 Navy Achievement Medals and his En- listed Surface Warfare Specialist designation while onboard. He then reported to Naval Hospital Great Lakes in January 2003 and was assigned to the Recruit Training Command medical clinic where he served as Leading Petty Officer for recruit sickcall. He was advanced to Chief Petty Officer in September 2003. While in Great Lakes he was deployed twice as an Individual Augmentee HAD to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Two-Six and Marine Forces Unitas, ll Marine Expeditionary Force in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While assigned to II Marine Expeditionary Force he earned his designation as an Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist. Upon transfer from Great Lakes, Chief Burmeister reported onboard the USS RAMAGE CDDG-615 in June 2006 as the Senior Medical Department Representative. l Chief Burmeisteris military decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal Q6 awardsj, Good Conduct Medal C4 awardsj and various unit and expeditionary awards. Chief Burmeister is married to the former Marsha Esta Schmitz of Wadesville, Indiana. They have three children, Ryan ULU, Hannah fl3j, and Trenton CIOJ.
