He left ESSEX in October 2005 and reported to SWOS DCA J school for training. ln December 2005, he graduated from DCA school and reported . on board USS RAMAGE, where he immediately took over as Repair Division Of- ficer. He oflicially took the job as Damage Control Assistant in late January 2006. LTJG Livingston has screened for Department Head at sea, and has been slated to teach at the USNA in the Naval Science Department for his shore duty. Renner ER Division LCPO Daiiiage Control Chief Petty Officer CSWQ Jeffrey L. Renner is originally from Strasburg, VA. He graduated from Strasburg High School in 1988 and soon there- after joined the Navy attending Basic Training at RTC San Diego, CA with follow-on training to Damage Controlman NAU School at Treasure lsland, CA. His iirst duty station was PCU TORTUGA, where he earned his first sea legs TAD to the USS MANITOWOC for 3 months ROUGH TRA and the USS NASSAU for a 6 month MED Deployment. He then commissioned the USS TORTUGA as a Work Center Supervisor for the DC shop and EDCI. ln 1992, he went to Law Enforcement School at Lackland, TX, earning NEC 9545 with follow-on orders to Security Detach- ment NAVFAC Argentia, Newfoundland, Canada, where he was a patrolmanfwatch commander with the Security Detachment. In l994, he was assigned as the Work Center Supervisor and LPO for Repair Division ,onboard the USS UNDERWOOD in Mayport, FL. After a successful sea tour he trans- ferred to shore duty in l996 to SIMA Mayport. While at SIMA, he was a craftsman in Outside Machine Shop C38AJ and volunteered to work in the Supply Department as an open purchase technical editor until he was selected for Chief and transferred in 1999. DCCCSWJ Renner reported to the USS BRISCOE as the Repair Division LCPO and qualified as an EOOW shortly after report- ing onboard. ln 2003, he transferred to CNE LS Fort Leonard Wood, MO after earning NEC 9502 upon completion of Basic Instnictor School. He was the OICXSEL of the CNE Learning Site, in charge ofthe Shipboard CBR-D Cn school, NEC 4805. Euring tour, he also taught the Disaster Preparedness Operations Specialist course, NEC 9598, with CSFE Detachment Fort 601181 ood, ln 2006, he transferred to USS RAMAGE as Repair Division LCPO. He is currently EOOW, R5 Locker Chief and DCTT. DCCtSwp Renner has attended numerous advanced tire tighting and damage control schools. He has completed his Depart- menthof Labor Journeyman's course for Firefighter, National Truck Driving School for CDL Class license. and Motorcycle Repair Course. He is currently enrolled at Excelsior College. He completed English Composition, l of 7 courses needed for his associates degree.
