C oss Motto THE PAST FOREVER GONE THE FUTURE STILL LEADS ON To us the class of 1951 th1s motto means leavmg our hxgh school days behmd and gomg 1nto an unknown future In the past years we have been ln school preparmg for our later llfe Now we are entermg a l1fe where we cannot always depend upon our teachers parents or frlends for help and we wxll be judged by our ab1l1ty alone We have had the best posslble teachers to help and guxde us through these years They have been not only teachers to us but also true frlends and helpers If ln the future, any of us are strugglmg 1n an attempt to do somethlng, or lf we should be tempted to go astray, we have only to look back to our school days to fmd encouragement and strength to do r1ght We feel that ln th1s age, lt IS essentlal to get all the education one can 1n order to meet the rxgld competmon wzth others and take the place of our great leaders and buxlders of today We feel we have not gone through hxgh school 1n vam we have recexved something that cannot be bought by the rlchest man on thxs earth We have been gxven not only an educatlon, but also we have been taught how to get along wlth others, how to be tolerant, how to respect the plans and Ideas of other people and to love our fellowmen I m sure that all of us wxll look back upon our hlgh school experlence as one of the most enjoyable tlmes of our ltfe and wlsh that we could rellve lt The past IS forever gone, but lt wlll never be forgotten The future stlll leads on Not one of us can foretell the future Consequently, we look forward wlth much wonder and d1scuss1on Where wlll the future lead'7 Wlll I fmd success and happlness m the path I choose to follow?
