After receiving repairs during the inport period in Naples, Italy, the boilers operated beautifully. Their diligent efforts in providing needed fuel and water for the minesweepers in the Persian Gulf was essential for them to maintain the daily demands of sweeping the shipping lanes. The engineers also provided the sweeps with much repair assistance in maintaining their equipment in readiness condition.
