OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT The Operations Department is made up of 3 divisions which provide the crew oi RALEIGH with services ranging from electronic repair to an outstanding ship's entertainment system. This department is responsible for the day to day planning of a majority of activities which take place on the ship. Operations is responsible lor collecting, processing, analyzing, interpreting and evaluating intelligence information that may affect the ship. This information is used to plan a variety ol drills and exercises, such as General Quarters. This task requires many highly skilled and dedicated personnel. Operations is also responsible for maintaining the RAl.ElGH's electronic system. This requires a 24-hour watch on equipment which is important to the navigational needs and intelligence and radar needs of the ship. Being the eyes and ears of RALEIGH, theirs is a never ending rob. Well done OPS.
