The ac-tion of the eitizens of the Vapital City onthe fourth of April, 11322, prepared the way for a new era of eduea- tional life in the township. ln reeognition of the signilieanee of this aeeom- plishmcnt the Senior Flass of 11322 of the llaleigh High Sehool has dedieated this 'vear's edition of illllld l:A'l l'I,I'Il! to the eitizens of llaleigh through the committee consisting of the live men whose names appear below. 'Early in this year the llllilllllwl' of Vommeree, representing S130 members, held an open forum mainlv for the purpose of adjusting the amount of bonds possible to earry on the reasonable needs of the schools ot' thc llaleigh Township. The report based on a careful survey ealled for the expenditure of one and a half million dollars. To some this amount did not seem large when compared with the physical needs of the lialeigh sehools. lint others felt that it would be impossible to earry a bond issue of one and one-half million dollars. Henee the following resolution was ollered by the committee and was adopted: Resolved, That it is the sense of this meeting that an election should be called, submitting to the voters at the earliest possible date, the question of issuing one million dollars in bonds for sehool buildings, and that to such a proposition we pledge our complete and undivided Support, and commend the favorable action of the voters as essential to giving proper facilities for the edu- cation of the children of our city and coinniunity. 2 THE COM.MlTTEE, JOSEPIIUS TJANIELS, f.7llLl7'llIlLll, H.
