With all his awards he isn't even considering quitting tilithe l980 Olympics are over and a gold medal hangs around his neck. His many awards at RE include a partic- ipant in the Summer Junior Olym- pics in his Freshman year. In his Sophomore year he was a partici- pant in the Summer Junior Olym- pics with a ninth place finish in the national mile walk race. In hisjunior year Joe had a second place finish in the national mile run. This year Joe is a league, city. and regional cham- pion. also All City and All State. Besides school activities Joe is the basketball coach at Coleman Ele- mentary and coach of the city team. He's even been on TV three times. Joe is truly an outstanding runner and an outstanding Mr. Raleigh Egypt. TRACES: HONORS

Miss Raleigh Egypt The seniors were proud to select Suqv Grqv as Miss Raleigh Egypt '78. During her four years at RE. Suqv contributed much of her time to various extra-curricular activities. She has been a member of the Stu- dent Council. Pep Club. and SSS for four years. During her sophomore year she was quite active in Junior Achievement. Responsibilities grew as Suqv won election for the Class President her Junior and Senior years. Su:y's Senior activities include SCROLL Staff. Poetry Club. and Winter Sports Homecom- ing Representative. Suav 's ambitious qualities have succeeded in gaining her admission to Baptist Nursing School in the Fall. 180 TRACES: HONORS
