A Sphinx Queen The Sphinx Queen contest is an annual event during February at Raleigh-Egypt in w ' any club, organization, or class may sponsor a girl to represent them during the three d gala affair. A ROUND UP OF BEAUTY began at Holiday Inn Rivermont on February 3 Each contestant was required to give a two minute talk before parents and friends who vo for five girls to present their speech Saturday evening at the finals. The next morning girls displayed a three to five minute talent before our judges and students. Ten tal finalists were picked to perform their talent Saturday night. A11 the girls competed in evening gown competition and the opening number, which was a medley of songs fre Oklahoma.
