CLASS PROPHECY It was early this year, 1962, and I, Dillard Hensen, was driving my truck toward Seattle. Yes, I have been working for Johnson Auto Freight, which runs between Los Angeles and Seattle, for about five years. Gordon Johnson is now a big man owning a big freight line, containing 221 trucks. I have heard that by next year he is going to extend his truck line from the Canadian to the Mexican border. Yes, Gordon Johnson is now a big man. I was about one hundred and ninety miles from Seattle when I saw a familiar name upon a sign on top of a gas station, reading, Weiks Auto Repair, the sign also read We re- pair anything that is wrong with your car, Come in and see us. Yes, Dick got to be a good mechanic. I see there is a row of cars waiting to get service at Weiks Auto Repair. Istopped to make a telephone call and I was going toward the telephone office, whenl saw one of the operators through the window. She had a familiar face and yes, it was Ella Mae Strand, so she is still a telephone operator. I was driving on the highway when a bus passed me. The driver looked familiar, and he certainly was because it was Bob Pettit, yes, Bob is a driver for one of the most well known bus lines in the United States. Bob drives all over the country. I had just turned on the radio, when I caught a voice which belonged to Juanita Karsunky. Yes, Juanita got to be a radio star. I also read in the paper the other day that Juanita was going to Hollywood to start in the motion pictures. I was about ninety six miles from my destination when I saw an accident, and about two minutes later a policeman appeared on the scene. I thought he looked familiar, and yes, it was Hugh Reichel. I see Hugh is right on the job. An ambulance arrived anda doctor stepped out to take a look at the victim, and turned out to be my cousin, Darrell Jensen. Yes, Darrell is the chief doctor for one of the biggest hospitals in the state of Washington. Last week when I was talking to Darrell, he said that they were hiring two new nurses. Do you think you know who they were ? Yes, none other than Reda Crumley and Joann Watson. Both Reda and Joann have taken up nursing, Well, ldrove away from the SCCIIC Of the 8CCi - dent because I didn't want Hugh Reichel on my tail. As I passed the bank, the president came out, accompanied by his secretary. I thought she had a familiar face, and as I looked closer I saw that it was Evelyn Marchand. So she must be the new secretary the president told me about. Well, after I reached my destination, Johnson Auto Freight Co., located in Seattle, the trip was over and two days later I started the return trip to Los Angeles. ' In-' A
