22 Choir The choir was directed by Hank Anderson. The choir throughout the year attended various festivals such as the Cowapea All League Choir held at Vemonia. They also went to local schools such as, Delena, Apiary, Rainier and other elementary schools to perform. At their annual spring concert, Patty Robinson was awarded a $75 scholarship. Ken Jarret was awarded the most valuable senior choir members trophy; Ken was also president and Duane Guisinger was vice- president. The choir was honored with the presence of Charles King after an inspiring assembly by himself. The psychology class taught by Mr. Hank Anderson, was known throughout the school as something else. This was because of the seemingly strange things they sometimes did. One of these things was suggestive hypno- sis, another was the hot seat, in which a person sits in the middle of the room where everyone can see them and anybody can ask them any question they want and they have to answer truthfully. The Psych class also took field trips to the Longview Progress Center to observe mentally retarded and handi- capped children. They also visited the city j ail where they were shown the cells. As usual Mr. Anderson is telling Mona S. and Julie W., and Becky W. and also Debbie R. to be quiet.

Terry Karnoski taking a breather during a softball game. 23 This year the girls learned the art of self defense. This is something new and proved to be very useful against the R.U.H.S. boys. The girls also learned the basic skills of archery and the many skills of tumbling. Keep it up girls. You might grow up to be another Raquel Welch! Mr. Wheatly: Just one more time, Miss Cook: PEACE!! !
