Dear Students: The 1968 edition of the Rainier Union High School Hmeraude reminds us that another school year has passed. Trite comment at the end of a school year always seems to include the notation that the year was a good year. However, I feel that this is the case and I feel that this must be said of the past school year. I do not mean to imply that the year was not without shortcomings and problems, but I do feel that strides in educational progress were made. Objectives sought at the beginning of the school year were reached, particularly in school curriculum and changes in school plant. Plans have been and are being formulated to make further changes which we hope will be an improvement for the school. All individuals associated with the school are asked to be patient at a time when patience has not been in evidence as much as it once was. I am certain that the time is not too far off when we will be able to see that the school is meeting the needs of the students in a superior way rather than in what might be termed a good or average manner. I want to thank the students and staff of the high school for a very fine effort over the year. I want to wish all of you a gainful future. GJ.
